Meet Your Celebrant
I have a background in Performing Arts, having both trodden the boards and produced many musical productions. As a professional trumpet player and conductor I have performed not only the length and breadth of the British Isles, but also in Europe and The States. I have several musical qualifications, MM MusEd (Hons). FVCM, LGSM, ALCMand
I have a background in Performing Arts, having both trodden the boards and produced many musical productions. As a professional trumpet player and conductor I have performed not only the length and breadth of the British Isles, but also in Europe and The States. I have several musical qualifications, MM MusEd (Hons). FVCM, LGSM, ALCMand PGCertEd. For several years I was an RAF Bandmaster in Germany.
Very Special Person
When London was preparing to host the 2012 Olympic Games, 250,000 people signed up to volunteer as official “Games Makers”. Of these, 70,000 people were ultimately selected to wear the distinctive purple-and-red volunteer uniforms. I chose to be a Games Maker at the Paralympics working with the many amazing atheletes in the Olympic Village.

I am excited to share your special day with you! On this website, you will find all the information you need about the ceremony I cannot wait to celebrate with you!
The Legal Details
As the legal registering of your marriage is done separately, the pressure is off on The Day. There are no legal checks before the ceremony. It only costs £46 plus £11 for your marriage certificate to do this in a Registry Office so it won’t break the bank either. Your guests do not need to know if you do not want them to and there is also a certificate for you to sign if you would like one, to mirror the signing of the register.
Our Wonderful Weather
Your ceremony can be held anywhere you want. Indoors or outside. In a magnificent stately house, your garden, a windmill, mountain, forest and even a beach. And the venue does not have to be local to your home. Anywhere at all. A registrar may refuse to conduct your ceremony outdoors due to our wonderful weather. My focus is that you have the day you want, exactly where you want, as long as you have the site holders permission.
Ceremony Information
A bespoke ceremony is especially written for you. Over time I will get to know you both and will use shared information in the ceremony.
Everything will be approved by you, so there are no nasty shocks on The Day.
There are 6 parts to the ceremony. Entrance with music. Reading or Poem. A small ceremony or ritual , if you like such as hand fasting. Then the HEART of the ceremony. The Vows and Promises. I can help you write those. Ring Exchange then, having signed your certificate, you both walk out, to music smiling broadly to raptuous applause.
Time Restrictions
A registrar will officiate many weddings in their day with a time limit on each one. As a celebrant I have no time restrictions, as your day is the only ceremony I have that day, and I will give you my full 100% attention the whole day. My focus is that you have a day to remember, and as your celebrant I will focus on the whole event.
It is YOUR day. Have it YOUR way
From the moment we first meet YOU choose the venue, the music, the reading, the poem, any small ceremony or ritual, the people you want included in your ceremony. Recognizing dearly departed loved ones can also be included. You can have your dog as ring beaer if you wish!! The Choice is Yours.
Choices
There are two types of celebrants, humanist celebrants and independent celebrants
Humanist
A Humanist ceremony is a non-religious celebration, concentrating on the couple in the here and now. You can include non-religious rituals such as a sand ceremony or something of specific cultural significance and can add poetry and prose and the singing of songs, but prayers or religious readings of any sort would not play a part in a Humanist celebration.
Independent Celebrant
An Independent or Civil Celebrant is focussed on the couple and will work with them to tailor the celebration to be exactly what they wish it to be. They can include religious and spiritual content and work with religious leaders if wished. They can also add rituals and cultural references to truly personalise the celebration. I am an Independent Celebrant so the world is your oyster. Celebrate the way you want to. I am a Methodist so happy to include any religious aspect you may wish.
Renewing Vows
Not only will I as your Vow Renewal Celebrant conduct the Vow Renewal on the day but I will also work with you in the lead up to the Vow Renewal to make sure that you and your partner are both happy and comfortable with the planning of the event. As a Vow Renewal Celebrant I am professional, able to help you produce a bespoke, personal and structured vows or reading for the ceremony. People usually hire a Vow Renewal Celebrant to make the occasion more formal, as there is no legal binding when you are renewing your vows.

You are lucky to have the most amazing group of friends and family who will be standing by your side on your special day. All weddings are intimate, unique and fun, bespoke ceremonies. I enjoy working with every couple who wants to celebrate their wedding. Get the legalities sorted out before your fun celebration can happen. How about including Handfasting? Cocktail mixing? Weddings
From £500
As your celebrant, I will meet with both of you several times. I will also send out a questionnaire that encourages detailed answers, which I will study carefully to create a beautifully crafted script for the big day. I will also arrive early at your venue, making sure everything and every one is in place and meet with you and your partner individually to help calm any nerves you might have. My fee is all inclusive, no hidden extras. Do ask me about week day offers.
Vow Renewals
From £275
Vow renewal ceremonies are usually held to celebrate and reaffirm wedding vows. Typically, couples would exchange vows, and maybe even read their old vows again to the one they love. Some people choose to write new vows, or just add some things to their old vows which better reflect where they are in the present day. My fee is all inclusive, no hidden extras Do ask me about week day offers.

You may wish to celebrate the milestones in your life. Adoption, Naming,Gender Reveal, Gender Change, Coming Out, Civil Partnerships, Commitment Celebrations, Celebration of Life, Living Funerals plus Alternative Funerals, Green Burials, Direct Cremation and Pure Cremation celebrations. I am a Stag Guide, empowering familes to celebrate the life of their loved ones in a way they choose. Memorials and Memorial Bench unvailing. Many celebration choices available.
